Directions to Property
Beginning at Trans Canada Highway exit # 7. This exit is 10 Km west of Baddeck and can easily identified by the big Red Barn restaurant and gift shop. Proceed north on the Cabot Trail towards Margaree for a distance of 2.1 Km. It will be the 2nd road on the right and is called MacMillan Mountain Road. Proceed up MacMillan Mountain Road for a distance of 1.1 Km. You will see a sign "Oakes Farm" - turn on the road to the left and go for a short distance to the property. The property boundary will have a "land for sale "sign. The property is on your left going up the hill. You will come to a farm driveway on the right. The property continues on the left for a further 0.7 Km.

The nearby Bras d'Or lake is a large inland sea connected to the ocean at three locations (Great Bras d'Or Channel, Little Bras d'Or Channel and a lock at St Peters). The Bras d'Or Lakes are salt water with over 1,000 km of of shore frontage. Nyanza Bay on the Bras d'Or lake is located just 4 Km (2.4 miles) from the Macmillan Mountain property The estuaries of the Baddeck River and Middle River are located at either end of Nyanza Bay and are popular fishing spots.
